[06 Mar 2010|03:25am] triplesix Well after running around for the past 4 hours like an insane chicken with it's head cut off, I believe I have gotten everything done that needed to be done before I leave. Which includes PACKING "LIGHT" (which is impossible for me since I like to be prepared for every possible situation)... but I managed to cram everything into 2 relatively small suitcases, and one vanity case. Plus my purse. I'm kind of STRESSED OUT TO THE MAX and wired as hell so I doubt sleep will be coming easily, but I must attempt to get at least a little bit because tomorrow is a long day of traveling. I have to be at the airport in 7 hours. March 6th: STL - Puerto Rico March 7th: Board the ship in Puerto Rico March 8th: St. Thomas, Virgin Islands March 9th: Tortola March 10th: Antigua March 11th: St. Lucia March 12th: Barbados March 13th: full day of sailing back to port March 14th - 16th: Puerto Rico Wow, this is gonna be insane! I'm pretty excited. Much thanks to Atom's mom for booking this whole shindig. I hope the weather is awesome and I don't get seasick and sunburnt (I'm armed with a thousand anti sun products though...) I look forward to my "complementary rum beverage" on the beach. ;D I upgraded my phone plan to some kind of cruise special, so I will have service on the boat (yayyy Verizon) and on some of the islands. I tried to go about it in the most fair way (I got complaints that it would be more fair if I personally picked the winners, but that would have been IMPOSSIBLE for me to do because I really liked so many of the pieces submitted and if I would have had to choose people would have complained I was playing favorites...) Unfortunately there were some issues with the voting system as mentioned before. However, I was watching very closely and after the initial problems, it seems to me (and the statistics program I use + the poll flagging system) that no other votes were made fraudulently. I know everyone wanted to win, but if you didn't it's not the end of the world! I will hold more contests in the future (next up in a few months: epic "scavenger hunt") so there will be more chances to win prizes and take the glory! ;P
